Frix in the Race for State Senate

March 14th, 2024

Muskogee, Okla.: Businessman, builder and former state representative Avery Frix announced today that he is officially a candidate for state Senate, District 9.

“It would be my honor to fight for the people of eastern Oklahoma and our conservative values in the state Senate,” said Frix. “I’m proven and prepared to get things done for our communities, fighting for safe, prosperous places to live, work, raise a family and start a business.”

Frix served in the state House from 2016 to 2022. He has a history of authoring pro-life, pro-law enforcement and America First legislation.

Frix was named Oklahoma’s FOP Legislator of the Year after championing a pay raise for public service employees.

“District 9 deserves a strong, dedicated and conservative representative, and I am committed to being that voice,” said Frix. “With my background and experience, I can immediately get to work and make a positive impact for the future of Oklahoma.”

Among his goals in the Oklahoma Senate, Frix cited combating illegal immigration, supporting law enforcement, defending Second Amendment rights, lowering or eliminating taxes like the state income tax and grocery tax, reducing government spending and fighting inflation to help hard-working Oklahoma families.

Frix comes from a long line of builders dating back to his great-grandfather. In addition to his work in the family construction business, he also started and successfully runs a business with almost a dozen employees.

A graduate of Muskogee High School and the University of Oklahoma, Frix is married to Haley, also a small business owner in Muskogee. The couple are active members of First Baptist in Muskogee.

“I value faith, family and freedom. As your state senator, I will fight tirelessly to protect these values and our traditional way of life for the benefit of every citizen in District 9.
